Lean Energy System

Industrial compressed air systems waste 20-30% of energy due to leaks and inefficiencies, making them major energy consumers. Optimization and careful design is crucial for cost reduction and improving downstream CNC machine life, via robust air quality.

To maximize cost reduction, we used cost-benefit modelling and pressure drop analysis. A turnkey air station and piping network was sold, designed and implemented. This comprised of an air compressor, air treatment, and versatile aluminum piping network. Additionally, an Annual Maintenance Cost (AMC) was crafted to ensure timely preventative maintenance.

The result was a $70,000 USD system that cut energy use by $230 USD per year, a 15% cost reduction. It achieved a 3.6-year payback, ensuring industrial reliability through lean energy design with an AMC of $3,400 USD / year.
